I'm eating rice cereal now

Yesterday mommy and daddy gave me rice cereal for the first time. What an experience that was. I didn't know what to make of it and mommy and daddy had to figure out feeding me with a spoon for the first time. I just wanted to grab the spoon. We created a nice mess.

 In the end, I was all smiles-

This morning, my second time around with the cereal, it went a lot better. I was ready with my mouth open when daddy got close with the spoon, and I ate more than yesterday too. It's just plain rice for the rest of this week, and then next week we can mix in fruits and veggies!

Four months old

Yesterday I turned four months old, and today I had a check-up. Dr. Gallagher said I looked great-she LOVED my cheeks! I'm up to 14 pounds 3 ounces (just over 50th percentile), and I'm just shy of 24 inches long(25th percentile). My head size is off the charts- literally. The chart goes to 97th percentile and my head is bigger than that!
Daddy and I both got shots today, but he only got one and I got three. He said I handled it well.
This weekend is going to be an all girl weekend as daddy is going away, and Aunt Whitney is coming up to visit. Have a good weekend daddy- I'm going to miss you.

Why hang out on your stomach when you can rollover onto your back

Mommy was trying to give me tummy time this morning and I wanted no part of it- there is so much more to see when you are on you back.



New videos of me

Mommy and daddy have been busy capturing me with the video camera this week. First, daddy recorded me on my activity mat again. I just have so much fun on that especially playing with Mr. Snail.

On Thursday, daddy and I went to Babies r Us to get me a new toy- an activity bouncer! I'm still trying to figure it out, but so far its a lot of fun.

And finally, mommy thinks this is the best video. I've been making a lot of different noises with my mouth, and daddy caught me practicing kissing the other day.

I've become a thumb sucker

I'm sleeping in my crib now........and other happpenings

Last night was the first time I slept in my crib. Mommy had a hard time putting me to sleep because she's realizing how much and how fast I'm growing up. It wasn't a big deal, because my sleeping pattern stayed the same- within five minutes of mommy laying me down, I was sound asleep.

This past weekend was a busy weekend. Mommy's friend Kate came out to visit us from Michigan. They did a lot of sightseeing, and took me along for some of it too.
Last night, I also rolled over from my stomach to my back for the first time. Mommy and daddy were trying to give me some tummy time, but I didn't want any part of that. I did the same thing tonight when they tried to put me on my stomach again.
Hopefully the weather forecast stays good for this weekend because mommy and daddy want to take me to the beach for the first time.
