I'm ready to get on the move

I am sooo ready to get crawling. There are so many things just out of my reach that I want to get to. I've recently started sitting up on my own, and also getting up on my hands and knees. It's not fun to sit in the same spot anymore.

Daddy has to lower the mattress in my crib soon because when I wake up in the morning and from my naps, I like to sit up. I've also started to pull myself up onto my knees so the mattress needs to be lowered for my safety.

Our weekend in New Jersey

Saturday morning we drove up to New Jersey to see my Great-Pops. Not only did we get to see him, but Grandma and Grandpa Winton drove down from New Hampshire with Aunt Trisha, Aunt Kara, and cousin Emma. Though it was a quick visit, we had a lot of fun visiting with everyone. Great-Pops with me and Emma-

My first swim class

Last night I had my first swim class, which will be every Wednesday night for the next ten weeks. I had a lot of fun, and I think mommy had just as much fun being in the pool with me. Thanks auntie Chiara for the swimsuit.

Mommy and I went down south to celebrate Grandpa's birthday and we had a great time visiting with everyone.  I saw some familiar faces and met some new people. All and all, mommy and I had a good trip and daddy was able to relax back home- though he was excited to see us this afternoon.

WHO PUTS A BABY IN A BOX?!! Not only do I get dressed like a doll down south with all sorts of crazy bows but I get put in a box just like a doll. HELLO!! Hopefully they learned from my reaction (screaming and crying) to never do that to me again.

A big thank you to my great-aunt Marty

Thank you Marty for coming over yesterday to take care of me so mommy and daddy could go out and celebrate there first anniversary. We had a lot of fun together, and I know mommy and daddy had a great night out.

8 Months Old

I am 8 months old today. I'm getting so big. I already have two teeth- in the front on the lower level, with one more ready to break through up top. I also love grabbing anything I can get my hands on.

A review of the past week

We had a lot going on last week. Their were three really nice days and mommy took me to the park on those days. It was so much fun to hanging out in the swing and having mommy push me. Mommy also had me playing in the big sandbox there. I don't quite understand what sand is, but I had a lot of fun playing with it.

Katie, Keenan, and Wyatt were in Virginia last week so we got together with them one night. I was still recovering from a cold so I didn't get to close to Wyatt.

We got our new running stroller on Wednesday, so daddy took me out with him for a run on Thursday. I usually take a nap when I'm out in the stroller, but I was having so much fun in the new stroller I stayed awake for the whole 4 miles. Daddy said it took a little time to get used to pushing the stroller, but it didn't slow him down much at all. This morning we went on a walk and daddy snapped a picture of me finally asleep in the stroller.

And we saved the best news for last. On Saturday I said my first words!! Da-da of course! Mommy and daddy love hearing me say it. They are trying to get it on video, but I guess I haven't cooperated to well. Maybe sometime soon they will catch it on video.
